Origin

The term aporeia was first used in ancient Greek by the philosopher Socrates. - Plato in the aporia puts questions that seem to have no answers. It is a method used to question the validity of a statement by showing that it leads to a contradiction.

An aporeia can be used to challenge an argument or to show the limitations of human knowledge. It can also be used to provoke thought and to encourage the exploration of new ideas.
